What’s your biggest career highlight?
My biggest career highlight is the publication of the book me and Jasper Maas wrote and was published by Van Haren Publishing B.V., about best practices for a framework called BiSL, that helps organisations to clearly describe their IT needs and to tailor the IT solutions offered to this, for satisfied customers and employees.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
What I enjoy most about what I do as a coach is guiding women to discover their own resources and boost their self-confidence. At some point they have this breakthrough and that’s the most memorable moment.
As an Information analyst I enjoy the path from an idea to a working system with happy customers.
What advice would you give someone starting out their career
My advice to someone starting out their career is to look for a mentor or personal coach to be able to continue your personal development and growth.
Also find your role model and I call it your career sponsor. Know that every successful person has a personal coach, a mentor and career sponsor.
Start growing your network and be yourself.
What are the key points you’ll be covering in your seminar session?
As an IT Professional, communication soft skills are crucial.
Collaborating is communicating and a large part of this communication is non-verbal, think of body language, intonation and facial expressions.
